Physical Therapist
Andrea Westbrook, DPT, COMT, FAAOMPT
- Andrea is a Fellow of the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT), a certified orthopaedic manual therapist (COMT), and certified Pilates instructor in rehabilitative Pilates.
- She grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI in 2005 as a doctor of physical therapy (DPT). She has been a full-time physical therapist in the Raleigh - Durham area for over 17 years.
- Andrea provides skilled physical therapy services for orthopaedic conditions, injuries and all body areas. Her specialties include treatment of spine (low back, thorax, neck, jaw and headache), as well as complex patients with a multitude of neurogenic symptoms including vagus nerve dysfunction.
- She has treated chronic spine conditions for over 15 years, and works closely with physiatrists, rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons, otolaryngologists and primary care physicians in the Raleigh - Durham area to ensure patients are getting the care and relief they need.
- Andrea periodically teaches classes at ECU Physical Therapy department in Greenville, NC.

Our Services
Physical Therapy New Evaluation
Initial Physical Therapy appointments with Andrea consist of a comprehensive evaluation and assessment of patient complaints, objective impairments and functional limitations, along with initial treatment. A plan of care is determined to fit your individual goals and map the road to your recovery.
Physical Therapy Follow-up
Subsequent physical therapy appointments with Andrea consist of one-on-one reassessment and treatment with the same quality care. Treatments may include manual therapy, spinal, soft tissue and neural mobilization, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional movement and postural retraining, modalities and education in a individualized home exercise program.
Pilates One-on-One Session
Functional movement assessment and rehabilitative Pilates session tailored to your individual needs one-on-one by a fellowship trained physical therapist and certified Pilates instructor through APPI (the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute). Matwork and equipment sessions are dependent on individual client needs and desires.
Payment Information
Method PT is an out-of-network physical therapy provider. Physical therapy service costs qualify toward out-of-network insurance plan deductibles, Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts. Many patients self-file PT claims and may request documentation from Andrea for filing purposes. If you prefer to use your in-network insurance benefits, Andrea will be willing and able to assist you in a referral.
